I was born in Norfolk, Virginia many years
ago. I was raised in Virginia Beach where I learned to love the ocean and all it
has to offer. I graduated in 1980 from " THE HIGH SCHOOL" of Virginia, commonly known as
Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va.

This is where I gained many of my quality traits. After high school I attended
college at The University of North Carolina in Wilmington. At UNC-W I
concentrated my studies on Business and Psychology. After spending a lot of time
in Wilmington I knew the beach was for me forever. I enjoy surfing, sailing,
swimming, fishing, walking on the beach, and anything water related.
My mom's side of the
family is from Hatteras Village in North Carolina. My family there goes way back
in history to the early1700's. I have several great & great-great grandfathers
who were Cape Hatteras Light House Keepers and watermen throughout there time.
This is probably the reason I love the ocean so much and the area of The Outer
Banks. After college I traveled a bit on many surf safaris around the world and
then decided to settle on The Outer Banks of NC as my home. I have lived here
continuously since the early 90's and love it. I have worked on the OBX doing
construction at times and waiting tables at The Penguin Isle Soundside Bar &
Grill (www.penguinisle.com) for the
past fifteen years. I also do work for FEMA when duty calls for it. The OBX is
my love and I will always be here one way or another. I know the area extremely
well and can advise one on anything one needs to know from visitor information,
public parks, restaurants, shopping, business services, historical sites etc.
You name and I know it, or can find out quickly.
